Description

You park near the old town of Pelago and enter on foot in the village castle, characterized from the large square of the market place, slightly downhill.
Arrived at the bottom, take the alley to the north and the subsequent steps leading down to the old bridge over the Vicano. The road already marked path n. 11, leading to cross the main road (watch for traffic) then climb up the concrete road.
We follow the no. 11 which branches off to the north, and go up touching Festieri House.
From here the path leads into the valley of the Vicano exceeds the junction with trail 13, and brings us to the Bridge of Ferrano.

We went a few meters over the bridge, when the road becomes paved, and take the concrete road that climbs to the north, marked with n. 25. We spend close to settlements, until you reach the crossroads of S. Mary. The path 25 continues eastward, passing by the Avenue of the Villa del Colle and through the woods, climbs up to the ruins of Casa Lavacchio. Here the trail branches 25A, which rises to the west to meet the track 27, which will take us to Borselli (where we can take advantage of various services).

Cross down the whole town, to the bottom of the public gardens, wherebegins the trail 21. It is a long path that goes down in the west, then back across the village of Lucignano, then descends steeply to the Furnace. Here we enter the road, but made 500 m, take the south on path 22, on the dirt road that leads to Castellare. Arrived at the hamlet, go down the panoramic path to the Poderina and then Pelago.
