Description

You park near the old town of Pelago and enter on foot in the village castle, characterized from the large square of the market place, slightly downhill. Arrived at the bottom, take the alley to the north and the subsequent steps leading down to the old bridge over the Vicano. The road already marked path n. 11, leading to cross the main road (watch for traffic) then climb up the concrete road, which will take us to Villa Grassina along the path n. 13.

Admired the Villa Grassina go up for a little while on the road, then bend significantly to the north, on the path that leads us to the fields and woods, to the house of Certina.
The path 13 continues to the north before descending towards Castagneto House, that we avoid following the path 11, which now takes us up the valley of the Vicano up to Bridge of Ferrano.

We went a few meters over the bridge, when the road becomes paved, and take the concrete road that climbs to the north, marked with n. 25. We spend close to settlements, until you reach the crossroads of S. Mary. We continue westwards along the path 25B practically flat, and pass near the Romanesque church of S. Maria in Ferrano (look, it's worth it).
The trail soon leads us to the junction with the n. 24, which will take a steep descent to the Church of S. Peter Ferrano.
Once on the road with asphalt, you make a few meters towards east, to go down the path 13 that leads us to ford the river Vicano. We move around Casa Castagneto and arrived at the intersection of the paths, take the no. 11, which falls in the west, with a good track.

After touching home Festieri find the concrete road that runs from Grassina, and then we can go back in the center of Pelago following the path forward (avoid follow the main road, dangerous for pedestrians).
